Error model - Soteris Developer Docs

The v0 error model is conceptual planning vocabulary. It names the categories of failure an integration should be prepared to handle. Exact production error codes may change when public integration surfaces are released, so do not treat these values as a committed API response format.

Errors

Error	Meaning
`invalid_shape`	The submitted record does not match the expected shape.
`unauthorized_actor`	The actor is not allowed to perform the requested action.
`unavailable_surface`	The requested integration surface is not public or not released.
`not_released`	The artifact exists but is not released for the requester.
`permission_required`	The requester needs additional access.
`superseded_record`	A newer record replaced the requested record.

Reading the categories

The categories mirror the boundaries elsewhere in these docs. unauthorized_actor follows from Actor boundaries, unavailable_surface from Integration surfaces, and not_released from Release conditions. An error names the boundary that was hit. It does not explain the internal evaluation behind the boundary.
